Care Foundation was established in 2021 to help the needy people of our society.
A small group of people started it at Polasara, Ganjam, Odisha, India. However, in a few days, people across Odisha joined the Foundation.
For Care Foundation, the meaning of "NEEDY PEOPLE" is broader in a sense. According to the constitution of Care Foundation, it means the following categories of people.
- People who are suffering from long term illness or critical illness.
- Senior citizens who are living alone in poverty.
- Orphan children who are living without any support.
- Widows who are living in destitute.
- Physically-challenged people who are living without any income or support.
- People who are living in extreme poverty.
It operates straightforwardly and transparently. The Foundation members contribute a small amount every month and pay it out to the beneficiaries at the end of the month.
Thus, there is no rollover balance to the next month. The amount collected during a particular month equals the amount paid to the beneficiaries.
Further, each member is assigned to find the beneficiaries for a particular month. He has the freedom to choose the beneficiaries and their requirements. Benefits can be cash, clothes, food, ration, or anything according to the beneficiaries' needs.
Care Foundation knows that it is impossible to fulfill all the requirements of needy people. However, it is a small step to soothe their pain. Further, with time, the Foundation will work towards the sustainable development of the poor. Its motto is to improve the financial condition of the poor by enabling them to generate income. However, it is possible only when the contribution amount becomes substantial enough to support sustainability.
The Care Foundation is obliged to all its members who keep it alive by their small but generous contribution.
